Partial Scanning
As CESAM analyzes a huge number of startup locations, scanning takes some time. Scanning duration also depends on various processes, such as Microsoft signature checks, file hash calculations, obtaining detailed file information, double scanning and others. Full system analysis may take up to 30-60 seconds, which may be uncomfortable in some cases. For instance, if one of the sections or even keys has changed because a driver was installed or some application was added to “Run” node. Does it mean that you will have to rescan the whole system again? No! CESAM offers a unique feature – partial scanning. The user can choose any section or subsection (separate registry keys or special folders) and rescan them only – that is, update information about automatically loaded components for these sections. This is very convenient and saves a lot of your time! Partial scanning usually takes no more than 2-3 seconds.
